WHo i am

I am currently a yoga instructor and a clinical mental health counselor in training.

Wellness has many dimensions; my life’s intention is to gain the experience and knowledge necessary to be able to support others in their efforts to be well in their bodies, minds, and hearts.

In order to do so, I remain a perpetual student myself.  My natural curiosity causes me to seek understanding of myself and of the world.  Connecting and sharing with others is what provides me with a sense of purpose.

My teaching style incorporates elements of the various movement techniques I have had formal training in. I appreciate the opportunity for self-intimacy and creative expression that concentrated movement (and stillness) practices offer.  I am passionate about holding space for others to utilize movement for reflection; to redirect their attention inward and become aware of how our internal environment is affected by external circumstances; to think less and feel more; to explore internal boundaries and test edges of comfort.

As I continue to learn and grow, my instruction reflects my evolution of understanding as both a student and as a person. I am passionate about sharing the practices that have enabled me to repair the relationship between my mind and body, allowing me to access a more integrative experience in my daily life.
