Harder to Hold

Pausing is difficult

No longer distracted by the

Change in motion

You are forced

To feel

The tension required to hold

To notice

The friction of staying in place

To observe

The inner urged to move, move, move

(Even more so if uncomfortable)

For a moment the momentum

Is interrupted

And although the body stops

It takes a little longer for the mind

To realize it’s safe to slow down too

Be patient,

It will
